Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD mints over Rs 625 crore in 1 month in India

Nag Ashwin directed Kalki 2898 AD starring Amitabh Bachchan , Kamal Haasan , Prabhas and Deepika Padukone just completed a month at the box office, and what a glorious run the film has had. In these 30 days, the film has gone on to become the highest grossing flick of the year till now, and fifth highest grossing film of Indian Cinema. The film is currently in the running to displace Jawan from the fourth position, and needs just another Rs 15 crore for that. Kalki 2898 AD has also become the 3rd highest grossing Telugu film of all times, behind SS Rajamouli ’s RRR, and Baahubali 2- The Conclusion.

Kalki 2898 AD in the first week, minted Rs 414.85 crore, in the second week it added Rs 128.5 crore. In the third week, the film’s collection dropped to Rs 56.1 crore, and in the fourth week, it was less than half of it, at Rs 24.4 crore. Despite the collections slowing down, the film has had a steady run, with collections never dropping below a crore on any day of the month. As the film entered its fifth week, the film earned Rs 1.25 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. It also faced competition from Deadpool & Wolverine , which minted over Rs 21 crore on Friday. But on weekends, as just like the last 4 weeks, Kalki is expected to see a major jump in the collections. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 625.10 crore.

The second part of the film is already in the works, and the makers have already shot 30-35 days for it.
