'Pani' first review: Director Karthik Subbaraj and Anurag Kashyap hail Joju George's debut directorial

After showcasing his magnificent acting chops in several films, the actor Joju George is all set to don the director’s cap for the first time in the upcoming action thriller film ‘ Pani ’. As the movie is set to hit the big screens on October 24, directors Karthik Subbaraj and Anurag Kashyap have shared their first review of the movie.

Sharing the trailer for ‘Pani’ via his Instagram stories, Karthik Subbaraj penned a note saying that he has already seen the film and it’s an edge-of-the-seat action thriller with intense performances.

The ‘Petta’ director’s note read, “Here's the awesome trailer of #Pani #JojuGeorge 's debut directorial... I saw this film and it's Superb. Meanwhile, the Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap also watched the preview show of ‘Pani’ and penned a glowing review on his Instagram handle that read, “Malayalam Cinema continues to shock and surprise and blow your mind. Saw this powerful thriller/drama film from @jojugeorgeactorofficial . A super confident directorial debut that goes the distance. It rises to the level of some of the best Korean new-wave films. Absolutely unmissable. Releasing Oct 24. Trailer out now .”

Music composer Santosh Narayanan also hailed the film as his Tweet read, “Watched #Pani . Absolutely Blown away by the crazy film and honoured to compose a song and a few themes as a small token of appreciation for the amazing team. Here is the trailer cut to my song.”

Meanwhile, Tamil superstar Suriya has also shared the trailer for the film with a Tweet that read, “Loved the trailer! Best wishes on your directorial debut Dear Joju #Pani.”
