Did you know Vijay Deverakonda's mother Madhavi played THIS role in 'Dear Comrade'?

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ' Dear Comrade ' completed its fifth anniversary on July 26, and both actors have shared some memorable moments they cherish from the filming of the box office hit through their social media accounts.

However, many people may not know that Vijay Deverakonda’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda , had a small role in the movie. She played a college lecturer in a brief scene. Despite her involvement, her role was so subtle that many viewers missed the connection to her famous son.


On the fifth anniversary of 'Dear Comrade', Rashmika Mandanna shared her memories from filming on social media: “Thank you to everyone who’s loved and is loving 'Dear Comrade'... I am so very grateful. ❤ From the day it all started with the narration, to the cricket training at odd hours—over months and months, to all the bruises and pains, to all the shoot days filled with laughter, satisfaction, tears, sweat, and blood, to the wrapping of the film and the feeling of void and sadness, to the promotions, the music festivals, making you all dance and sing along with us, and the release of the film—whatever the result might have been, to this day, 5 years later…I’ve done many films since, but still being mostly referred to as Lilly… Each moment is and was too special for me. THANK YOU!”



The film's story revolves around Bobby , a fiery student leader, and Lilly , his childhood friend with a passion for cricket. Their relationship faces obstacles due to Bobby’s temper and Lilly’s past, but they eventually find a deep connection and commitment to each other.

This 2018 movie by Bharat Kamma was a major success, earning over Rs 30 crore worldwide.
