Sakamoto Days Anime Reveals 3 New Cast Members & Character PVs

The official X account of Sakamoto Days anime unveiled three new cast members who will voice the characters Nagumo, Shishiba, and Osaragi on Oct 16, 2024.

Natsuki Hanae as Nagumo

“Hello! This is Nobunaga Shimazaki, the voice of Shin!
I’m super happy that my buddy Hanae-kun will be playing the role of Nagumo!

Nagumo seems hard to figure out, laid-back and mysterious, but he’s also bright and mischievous.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how Hanae will bring his unique style to this fun role!

“From the moment I read the original work for the audition, I was drawn in by the cool battle scenes and the perfect balance of comedy woven into the chilling serious moments.
Even within the story, Osaragi-san maintains her own pace and carries a unique atmosphere, and I’m doing my best to bring that out through my voice during the recording.

I often interact with Shishiba-san, who is also a member of ORDER, and their conversations are really interesting, so I hope you’ll look forward to those as well.

“I’m Taku Yashiro, and I’ll be playing the role of Shishiba in the TV anime ‘SAKAMOTO DAYS.’
This work has a grand and thrilling scale in terms of the themes and the events that unfold, but I feel it also has a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and world where everything feels enjoyable.

Shishiba, as a member of ORDER, certainly has a strong presence and intensity, but through his relationship with Osaragi and other aspects, there’s also a sense of closeness and comfort unique to this world.
He’s a character I really like, and I hope I can express those qualities in my performance as well.”

Sakamoto Days will start airing in January 2025. The anime will also be , with the episodes releasing on a weekly basis.

Tomokazu Sugita, who is known for portraying Gintoki Sakata, will voice the titular character Taro Sakamoto.

TMS Entertainment, the studio behind Detective Conan, Fruits Basket (2019), and Dr. Stone, is set to handle the animation production for Sakamoto Days anime.

Masaki Watanabe will serve as the director, with Taku Kishimoto in charge of series composition, and Yo Moriyama will handle the character designs.

Sakamoto Days is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020, with its chapters collected in 16 tankobon volumes as of April 2024.

It is simultaneously published in English by Viz Media and the Manga Plus online platform.
