Director Mitsuo Fukuda expressed his satisfaction with the special edition, noting that the original January release had time constraints that prevented full realization of certain scenes.

In the original version, which was released on January 26, there were some sections where, due to time constraints, we weren’t able to fully refine the cuts to our satisfaction. However, this time, we’ve updated those cuts and addressed various areas where there was some discomfort after the initial screening.

,” Fukuda stated.

According to the director, this special edition of the movie can be called the complete version of SEED Freedom.

To celebrate the special edition, a promotional video and a key visual were released, alongside details about exclusive gifts for attendees.

Starting September 20, audiences will receive an original mini clear file featuring key frames from the updated cuts.

Additionally, a special stage greeting event will take place on the same day at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Piccadilly, with appearances by voice actors Soichiro Hoshi (Kira Yamato), Kotono Mitsuishi (Murrue Ramius), Houko Kuwashima (Agnes Giebenrath), and director Fukuda.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom is the latest installment in the Gundam SEED series, set in C.E. 75, where Kira Yamato and his allies engage in a new battle as part of the world peace organization COMPASS, led by Lacus Clyne.

The movie originally released on January 2024, with both fans and critics not very impressed by what they saw on the screen.
