Dandadan’s 1st episode was a ride, largely due to the uncanny plot, and also due to how well the source material was adapted by Science SARU.
Having somehow dealt with their respective situations, involving Turbo Granny and Serponians, both Momo and Okarun decide to have some down time and come to terms with what they had just experienced.
However, they are left facing a new adversary come episode 2 of Dandadan. And turns out that the curse put on Okarun by Turbo Granny, and Momo’s newfound powers might just help them navigate this tricky situation.
The official website of Dandadan anime revealed the premise of Dandadan episode 2. It is as follows:
Okarun, cursed by the Turbo Granny, and Momo, who uses her awakened superpowers to suppress the Turbo Granny’s rampage, take temporary refuge at Momo’s house as dawn breaks. However, their troubles escalate when they remove the talisman from the torii gate, summoning a gigantic alien known as the “Flatwoods Monster” in front of them. In this dire situation, Okarun makes a certain proposal to Momo.
Dandadan Episode 1 is titled: “Isn’t that an alien?” The preview images for the episode are as follows:

Dandadan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service since April 2021, with its chapters collected into 15 tankobon volumes as of July 2024.
The series is simultaneously published in English and Spanish on Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform and in English on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump website.
