Crunchyroll To Stream Bananya Season 3 In October 2024

Crunchyroll announced on Aug 28, 2024, that they have acquired the streaming rights of Bananya Around The World, the third season of the popular series about adorable cats living in bananas.

Bananya Around The World will be available to stream on Crunchyroll in October 2024, with the first few episodes simulcasting on the platform, with additional episodes to follow at a later date.

The exact release date is yet to be revealed.

The new season will be available for streaming worldwide, excluding Asia. However, it was revealed that the Indian subcontinent will be included in the worldwide release.

Kyo Yatate, the director of the previous seasons, will return to helm the series at animation studio Lesprit, with series composition by Masahiro Takata and Sei Yoshitsuki joining the writing team.

Bananya returns! The mysterious cat who lives inside a banana is back for a new adventure when a ball of light appears. After the ball flashes, a new cat named Baby Sweet emerges. The two quickly become friends and set off on a grand adventure to discover new and exciting places around the world. Join the new friends on their journey!

Bananya is a lighthearted anime series about a kitten that lives inside a banana. The main character, Bananya, dreams of becoming a chocolate-covered dessert. He lives with other bananya friends, and together, they get into playful mischief when humans aren’t around. The series is known for its cute and quirky humor, appealing to viewers of all ages.

Season 1 of the anime aired from July 4, 2016, to Sep 26, 2016, and the second season from Oct 1, 2019, to Dec 24, 2019.
