Twinkle Khanna Recalls Being Called Rishi Kapoor's Illegitimate Child; Leaves Alia Scandalised
The second episode of Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s Prime Video chat show Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle featured celebrity guests Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.
During the conversation, Twinkle Khanna opened up about an incident with Rishi Kapoor that left Alia Bhatt dumbfounded.
Alia Bhatt’s Gold Reaction On Twinkle Khanna Being Called Rishi Kapoor’s Illegitimate DaughterDuring the chat show, Twinkle Khanna recalled the time when Rishi Kapoor wished her on her birthday on social media by stating how he “serenaded” Dimple Kapadia when she was pregnant with Twinkle.
She stated, “I almost became a Kapoor because of Alia's father-in-law.” and added, “On my birthday, he tweeted very generously, 'Oh, you know… when you were in your mother’s stomach, I serenaded her.' And so, everybody thought I was his illegitimate daughter.”
After the tweet went viral leading to confusion, Rishi Kapoor clarified, “Happy Happy Birthday, dear one! You were in your mum's tummy when I was serenading her in Bobby in 1973 lol.”
At this point, Alia Bhatt who is Rishi Kapoor’s daughter-in-law was left dumbfounded leaving Kajol and Varun Dhawan in splits.
Twinkle then jokingly pacified Alia saying, “I’m not your sister-in-law; it was a mistake.” Varun added, “She doesn’t know how to react.”
The Prime Video chat show hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna features some of the biggest stars of Hindi cinema. These include Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Vicky Kaushal, Kriti Sanon and Chunky Panday.
