The Garfield Movie on Netflix

We have all at one point in life loved watching Garfield right? Well looks like we have another treat ready! The Garfield Movie OTT release date has been set and it will be up on an OTT platform soon. It debuted at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on May 19, 2024, and was then released in the US on May 24, 2024. The Garfield Movie will release on Netflix on 21st September 2024.

The movie centers on Garfield, an orange domestic cat from an orphanage who is adopted by a nobleman and leads a happy life until one day Nolan and Ronald kidnap Garfield and his closest friend Odie and take them to an abandoned mall. The events that follow Garfield and Odie's father's rescue are depicted in the film.

Alicia Grace Turrell plays Ethel, Janelle James plays Olivia, Angus Cloud plays Snickers, Chris Pratt plays Garfield, Hannah Waddingham plays Jin, Samuel L. Jackson plays Vic, Nicholas Hoult plays Jon Arbuckle, and Ving Rhames plays Otto.

Mark Dindal is the director of the movie, which is based on the same-titled comic books by Jim Davis. Under the banners of Andrews McMeel Entertainment, Columbia Pictures, John Cohen Productions, Wayfarer Studios, Stage 6 Films, One Cool Group, and DNEG Animation, John Cohen, Namit Malhotra, Steven P Wegner, and Andrew A. Kosove produced the movie.

It was reported in November 2023 that John Debney was going to compose the soundtrack for the movie. This would be his third collaboration with Dindal, having previously worked on Disney's The Emperor's New Groove and Chicken Little.
