Raayan OTT release date: When and where to watch

Revenge thriller Raayan has hit theatres worldwide this weekend. The film is actor Dhanush's directorial project and is receiving positive reviews from the audience as of now. But if you are someone who will wait for its OTT release, then here's an update for you.

After so many speculations, finally, Raayan's OTT rights have been acquired by Prime Video, which will release the film on August 30. Raayan, in the coming days, might also close a deal with other OTT platforms like Netflix, but there is no official confirmation for that.

Raayan is Dhanush's 50th film, which also stars actors like Sundeep Kishan, SJ Suryah, and Selvaraghavan. The music in the movie is composed by AR Rahman. 

The film Raayan is a simple revenge story. Raayan, played by Dhanush, is shown as a youngster who lives his life with his siblings. How the siblings get involved in a fight with gansters is what the Raayan movie is all about. The movie shows police encounters, killings, and ganster culture. 

Raayan has been given an "A" by the Central Board of Film Certification.

As per the early estimates published by industry tracker Sacnilk, Raayan, on its first day at the theatres, earned over Rs 12 crore.

The film, produced by Sun Pictures, earned Rs 11 crore in its Tamil run, while in Telugu, it earned over Rs 1 crore.

As per Sacnilk, the film had an overall 58.65% Tamil occupancy on day 1 at the theatres. It's been only one day at the theatres for the film, and it's already getting praise. Actor Sundeep Kishan is also getting applause on X (former Twitter) for his performance in the film.
