Lubber Pandhu OTT release date Disney+Hotstar: When to watch

The Indian Tamil-language sports drama Lubber Pandhu will be releasing soon on OTT. The film had a successful run at the box office, but if you are someone who is waiting for its OTT release, here is an update for you. The Tamil film was earlier said to be released by Disney+Hotstar as the platform bought its digital rights. Now media reports suggest that Disney+Hotstar will release the film on November 01.

The official announcement from the filmmakers and the platform is still awaited. 

Earlier there were reports that the Telugu sports drama was scheduled to release on this Friday, that is October 18. But the latest reports now suggest that the OTT debut for the film has been postponed. Movie expert Christopher Kanagaraj has also said that the film will now arrive on November 1 via Hotstar.  

Lubber Pandhu was released globally on September 20 in cinemas. The film, during its theatrical run, received acclaim from critics as well as the audiences who watched it. Now let's see how the OTT audience will react to the sports drama. The film during its theatrical run earned approximately Rs 41 crore.   

Lubber Pandhu has been made under a very small budget, but the film has been a massive commercial success at the Box Office. The Tamil drama is still holding strong at the box office despite facing competition from big films like Rajnikanth’s Vettiyan. Now let's see how this Harish Kalyan’s sports drama goes online, but Disney+Hotstar is yet to announce the exact digital release date for the Tamil drama.

Plot 

The movie is about a young cricketer who was denied to join the "Jolly Friends" team due to caste-based discrimination. The film revolves around his struggles and success in the sports field.

Lubber Pandhu has been directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu. Its cast includes actors like Harish Kalyan, Swasika, Gethu Dinesh, and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy in crucial roles. Other than these, the film also features Bala Saravanan, Kaali Venkat, Devadarshini, and Geetha Kailasam as supporting characters.

The film has been produced by S. Lakshman Kumar and A. Venkatesh. It has been made under the banner of Prince Pictures.
