Trigger warning, this story is not for the faint-hearted.

True Story explained

In 1974, Terkanian gave birth to a baby girl but the child was given up for adoption. Terkanian assumed that she may get along with the child when she was older, therefore she didn't try to find the child.

The adoption agency notified Terkanian in April 2010 that the child had vanished in 1989. Terkanian wasdetermined to locate her daughter. All she needed to do to access her daughter's file in the Michigan State Police Department's missing persons section was to know the date of her daughter's birth.

She discovered more about her daughter and received a barrage of supportive responses after creating the "Find Aundria Bowman" Facebook page.

She went on to find that Dennis and Brenda Bowman were the adoptive parents.

Metta McLeod, a child abduction survivor, thought Dennis resembled the same guy who had abducted her as a child, so she reached out to Terkanian.

In what state was she found?

Terkanian was distraught over having to meet her kid in the worst way possible. Almost impossible to digest, she found her daughter dead and her body was cut into parts.

Later on, Dennis, the adopted father, acknowledged that he had a fight with Aundria at home and that she had attempted to flee. He claims that after hitting her, she tumbled backward down their house's stairway. He claimed to have severed her legs, placed the carcass inside a barrel, and set the barrel outside next to the neighbors' garbage cans.
