Did you know Zee 5's Berlin is based on Atul Sabharwal's book?

The Indian Hindi-language film Berlin is now streaming on OTT platform Zee5. The plot of the film revolves around a sign language teacher who gets a job as a government intelligence officer to question a deaf-mute man suspected in a criminal case. You know what the fun fact is here? The film is based on Atul Sabharwala's short story The Decipherer. Yes, you read that right. 

The film Berlin takes a direct clue from Atul Sabharwal's The Decipherer, which revolves around espionage and undercover missions.

The film Berlin and the book The Decipherer both are set around decoding intelligence from sources that can be used in wars or nation security in general. The film and book cover the process of decoding information that involves even the politics of countries.

Berlin is said to have taken some creative elements, but the core of its storyline is based on The Decipherer only, which makes the film a tease drama. 

The main character from The Decipherer is the same as the codebreaker in Berlin too, whose skills are really crucial for the story. 

The creator is the same, and the style of him is also the same, be it a book or a film. Atul, who is well known for crafting stories that are unique and have characters that are well-developed, has done it all in his book as well as in the Zee5's Berlin film. 

The spy thriller drama starring actors like Aparshakti Khurana, Ishwak Singh, Rahul Bose, Anupriya Goenka, Kabir Bedi, and Jigar Mehta, among others, is now available for all on OTT.
