Before they appeared on a show Bradshaw and Alcala (on whom the story is based) had already committed multiple murders but had managed to elude the authorities. On October 18, 2024, Woman of the Hour

will debut on Netflix. Meanwhile, here's an overview of the entire true story.

Anna Kendrick's Woman of the Hour true story

The movie Woman of the Hour will tell the tale of a serial killer from the 1970s and the woman who went on a date with him after they were paired on the TV game show The Dating Game. The first teaser features Daniel Zovatto as Rodney Alcala and Christina Kendrick as Sheryl Bradshaw, respectively.

Although she eventually refused to take this forward with him because she thought he was weird and creepy, Alcala immediately captured the young woman's attention. In actual life, as per Forbes, Bradshaw and Alcala, who had previously committed numerous murders before appearing on the show, had managed to elude authorities.

Alcala's behavior up until his arrest and eventual conviction for seven killings may have been fueled by his psychopathic tendencies, which may have been exacerbated by Bradshaw's rejection.

The movie will tell the aftermath of it all and the tale will send shivers down your spine.
