Abdu Rozik calls off wedding with finacee Amira

Abdu Rozik who had taken his fans by surprise after announcing his engagement to Amira in April 2024 has apparently broken off his engagement and called off the wedding. Just when things were looking up for him, the sad news six months after the engagement has left everyone in shock. The 20-year-old has revealed what went wrong.

Reaving that the decision wasn't easy, he blamed cultural differences for his decision. As quoted by TOI, he said, "As our relationship developed, we encountered some cultural differences that ultimately influenced his decision."

For the unversed, the Tajikistani singer was engaged to 19-year-old Amira who is a resident of Sharjah, UAE. Furthermore, he added, "I am recognised as a person of determination, which brings challenges in everyday life. It requires a partner who is mentally resilient." He said that he needs a partner who is "mentally strong and prepared for the journey ahead".

It is said that Abdu and Amira met at a mall in Dubai and their chemistry hit off instantly. Months later, they got engaged and soon they announced the news to the world as well. They had decided to get married in a hush-hush ceremony in the UAE itself. 

He is hopeful that love will find him again and is waiting for the right time. Abdu, for the uninitiated, was supposed to get married on July 7. His wedding was later postponed. Talking about that, he had earlier joked that he wanted to earn more money for his wife and that is why he decided to push the wedding.

Abdu will join Salman Khan to co-host the forthcoming Bigg Boss season 18. Abdu confirmed the news himself to the publication and shared that he is thrilled to host the show. The Tajikistani singer host a segment on the show. He said that he was excited and thrilled to be back with his full energy and passion on the controversial reality TV show. 

Like they say, fairytales don't always end with a happily ever after, and it seems Bigg Boss 16's Abdu Rozik is learning that the hard way.
