DU Passing Marks: Delhi University has decided to make a big change in the results of semester examinations this year. DU has now made the passing criteria i.e. passing percentage to 63 percent for going to the next class in all its undergraduate courses. Delhi University Passing Marks: Why did Delhi University change the passing marks criteria?
Delhi University has taken this step to remove the shortcomings in the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) Undergraduate Course Format (UGCF) 2022. Under the old rules, students who scored 50 percent marks in the first and second semester examinations in DU were promoted to the second year of the semester. Then the student had to pass seven papers. Along with this, a total of 22 credit points also had to be obtained.

Delhi University has stated another condition for semester exams. DU official says that since all papers do not have equal credits under NEP UGCF 2022, there is a possibility that a student may be promoted to the next class after scoring 36 percent marks in only 3 papers of both semesters and 1 general elective.
