The spokesperson for the BJP in Himachal Pradesh, Sanjay Sharma, has launched a fierce critique against the Congress-led Sukhu administration, accusing it of severe negligence and inefficiency in managing central funds designated for public welfare.

Sharma claimed that despite the Centre's substantial financial support, the state government has not effectively utilized the allocated funds. “In the fiscal year 2024–25, the Centre approved ₹954 crore for various health initiatives, yet the Sukhu government managed to spend less than half of it. Now, with over ₹1050 crore approved for 2025–26, there are concerns that this budget may also remain unspent,” he stated.

Centre Provides, State Mismanages
Sharma highlighted recent events, including a visit from Union Health Minister and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, during which ₹123 crore was allocated under the Maternal and Child Health Scheme. “Nadda urged the Chief Minister to ensure these funds benefit the public. Unfortunately, the Congress government appears more interested in criticizing the Centre and the BJP than in actual development,” Sharma commented.

Public Health Neglected, Responsibilities Ignored
Describing the state’s health infrastructure as “dilapidated,” Sharma noted that the government's inaction, even after direct appeals from the Union Health Minister, indicates a broader administrative failure. “This incompetence is not confined to health; it is evident across various departments,” he remarked.

BJP's Call to Action: End the Blame Game
Sharma cautioned that the public's patience is wearing thin with what he termed “a politics of complaints and blame.” He urged the Sukhu government to shift its approach and responsibly manage central funds, or risk facing backlash from the electorate.
