Inside The Repair Shop star Will Kirk's marriage to doctor wife and 'best thing' he's ever done

Will Kirk, known for his woodworking skills on The Repair Shop, has a love life that fans are eager to learn more about.

The beloved series is back tonight, Wednesday, October 23, with another heart-tugging episode featuring the 39 year old wood restoration expert Kirk, who will be breathing new life into a "knife-sharpening barrow".

Away from the spotlight, Kirk runs his own furniture restoration workshop in Wandsworth, where he resides with his wife Polly Snowdon.

The pair keep their relationship relatively private, so details about how long they've been together or how they met remain unclear.

What we do know is that Polly is a trained studied psychology at the University of Exeter before earning a doctorate in Education Psychology at Essex University, reports .

The couple got engaged in 2020 and exchanged vows in August 2021 at a ceremony held at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester.

Their wedding was initially delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but when they finally said their vows, Kirk described it as the "best day of his life".

The Repair Shop team even had a part in their nuptials, with the show's goldsmith Richard Talman crafting their custom-made wedding rings.

The couple expanded their family in July 2022 with the birth of their daughter, whose name they have chosen to keep private and have not yet revealed publicly.

Kirk could hardly contain his joy when he opened up about fatherhood for the first time with Hello! Magazine.

He shared: "I love her so much. It was quite tricky to leave home this morning to come down to The Repair Shop because she's so sweet in the mornings and she just looks up at you and she'd just woken up.

Declaring his adoration, he added: "I'm absolutely in love. It's the best thing I've ever done I think, having a child."

Since then, Kirk and his wife Polly are now a fabulous family of four, announcing with delight the arrival of their son earlier this month.

In a heart-melting post on , revealing a glimpse of his baby boys tiny toes, Kirk penned: "Three become four. I'm very proud of my lovely wife for the last 9 months.

"Mum and baby doing well, including an incredibly excited big sister #babyboy."
