Eighties pop icon looks unrecognisable as she shops with her husband after snubbing soap role

It has been more than three decades since stormed the charts with her hit single All Around The World.

And now, the eighties icon, 58, looked unrecognisable when she was pictured out and about with her husband during a spot of shopping in London. The star looked casual in a pair of turned up denim jeans, a brown velvet jacket teamed with a grey scarf and a black beenie hat.

The pair were seen laughing and joking among themselves as they headed into DJI Retail Store, where they reportedly shopped for drones.

Since the release of her hit single, she went on to sell 20 million records across the . She also released eight albums and recorded duets with legendary artists including George Michael and Queen.

She also performed for iconic films including The Bodyguard and Indecent Proposal. Despite achieving critical acclaim, Lisa has previously claimed that she does not have good memories of the way she looked in the 1989 music video of the song.

During an interview on Lorraine, the singer said she doesn't like to watch the video. She admitted: "I had this funny, , fat face. It was done in a rush. And 30 years later it still haunts me.

"People say to me about my music, 'It got me through college, it saved my marriage, it helped me to come out.' It’s wonderful to be part of someone’s life in a big way."

She also revealed that she struggled to deal with fame, which for some has been a downside to the music industry.

She continued: "It got to the point where I just couldn’t go out of the house or to the shops, it made me twitchy. We [Lisa and husband Ian Devaney] ended up living in Ireland for 14 years to get away from it."

Lisa tied the knot with Ian in New York in 1998 after working together. But their history stemmed back to their school days. In July, the exclusively revealed that she turned down a role on .

At the time she said she was not old enough to play a landlady at the Rovers Return and was not willing to give up music. Lisa was offered the role as Stella Price.

She told us: "I was offered once the part to play the landlady of the Rovers Return. I am the biggest Corrie fan. “I always wanted to go in the Rovers and just have a little game of darts.

"And they offered me a part, and it was for two years. It would have tied me down. I was not allowed to do anything else. So, unfortunately, it kind of jammed."
